Why are there different hanging options for the various display media?
Quite simply, not all media work with every hanging option. Except for Print Only, the media require no glass and are easy to wipe clean with a soft, dry cloth and water or non-ammonia window cleaner.
Print Only photos are the most cost-effective but will require your choice of custom framing upon arrival.
Float Plaqs are always shipped ready-to-hang with a wooden French cleat which hold the piece securely to the wall. A UV finish over the print protects it from the elements and requires no glass to display. The cleat holds the art about 1/2 inch away from the wall creating a floating effect. Float plaqs include a beveled edge in either black or walnut for a finished look. Note that float plaq displays are designed for common drywall and do not work on areas with relief like brick and moss rock fireplaces.
Slim Plaqs have the same protective finish as Float Plaqs but are thinner and require a frame for hanging.
AlumaPress displays are available ready-to-hang (by metal cleat) or framed.
How long will the photos last?
Archival papers and pigment inks are used in making our prints which are exceptionally long-lasting and generational. Materials used to create displays are acid-free and will not damage the print. When getting a print-only framed we recommend using archival materials to mount prints and always hang any displayed art out of direct sunlight. The AlumaPress presentations are printed through a dye-transfer process directly onto coated aluminum using cutting-edge technology and rated to last 65 plus years when hung out of direct sunlight.
What is your shipping policy?
Photos and products are professionally packaged and shipped via insured FedEx, UPS or USPS directly to you from our printer, ensuring your purchase arrives safely and as quickly as possible. Turn around time for shipping print and plaq orders is 3-4 weeks. AlumaPress orders take 4-5 weeks.
What is your Policy on Returns/Exchanges/Refunds?
Your satisfaction is our goal. All photographic prints and displays are custom made to order and have a quality guarantee. However art is subjective, so please be sure of your choices based on subject, color, light, and display type. Refunds or exchanges are not available, but orders are handled on an individual basis. On occasion prints may have minor defects which in modern printing processes are unavoidable. We want you to be confident in your purchase. In the rare case of a defective product or damage in shipping, no-cost replacements are made. Please contact us immediately with pictures of the damage if either is the case.
