Nature reveals beauty which commands all our senses. In the photographic realm seeing this beauty becomes paramount to capturing an image that expresses that same sight, that same beauty, that same feeling of being there in a moment in time. During both challenging and serene conditions unique things happen when light meets subject just right, when a story can be told without words, when the mood of a season shows itself for the only thing it knows to be. Herein lies beauty in the wild world, in it’s incredible web of life. Nature's expressions of beauty have the power to lift our spirits, touch our hearts, and inspire our minds. When captured with camera and lens through the eye of an artist and then brought to print, these fleeting seconds are realized as gifts to be cherished and shared.

ABOUT THE ARTIST

For more than 40 years James Frank has photographed the unique beauty of the Rocky Mountains and Colorado in all moods and seasons. Over the decades along with his partner and wife he has owned postcard and magazine publishing companies, and two art galleries in the beautiful mountain town of Estes Park, Colorado. He’s led photo tours in the Rocky Mountains and made photographic sojourns to distant destinations. Five books depicting Colorado life and scenic treasures have featured his photography. Countless publications have brought his work to print. Currently Frank publishes a yearly calendar of  Rocky Mountain National Park.
